Exports floriculture at same level as in 2017 |

The export of flowers and plants from the Netherlands over the first five months of 2018 is almost the same as in 2017. This is reported by the VGB based on data from Floridata. In April and May the turnover of flowers from Dutch growers at the Floraholland auction is lower than in 2017. After five months, the turnover now stands 3% behind the turnover of last year. Sales of potted plants increased slightly in the first five months of 2018. The over 1% growth was divided almost equally between price increases and an increase in the number of sold items. The turnover of garden plants increased so strongly in April and May that the turnover in the first five months was 4% higher than over the same period last year. |
